I have some good news to share, work has begun on the restoration of the museum building!
Scaffolding will go up in the last week of January. Thank you, to the Trustees and the Property Manager, Martin Cornish, for making this happen.
At the moment the workmen are preparing the initial work and repairing the exhibition room windows. The main works will take the majority of this year and we have (maybe a little optimistically) a reopening date in April 2024.
The Pop-Up will continue into next year with the next exhibition pencilled in for the 4th April. This will be an opportunity for people to view the Feudal Dues. Previously on display for many years in the museum they will be presented to the new Duke of Cornwall, the Prince of Wales, when he next visits the town.
